It seems writing über-posts have taken a bit out of Kevin and he’s taking a break. I can’t blame him. Sometimes I just want to bury my head in the sand myself and just pretend everything is ok. When you hunt down stories to illustrate to the world what’s going on, you end up staring into the abyss a bit too much.

Get some rest Kevin.

I stared into the abyss too long myself. It got a restraining order against me because I made it feel uncomfortable.

Lately I think that's been my issue with my Ice Cream machine. I keep staring in the Abyss hoping to find signs of hope along with the evidence of all the problems. It ends up the Abyss devours the hope like a black hole does light.

I know Kevin will be back. I merely keep on chugging because I promised myself my site would have a new post a day. We only missed one day thus far, though given everything else lately, including the wife's unemployment, I should probably look away from the Abyss. It is depressing and it often makes me loose faith in my fellow American's. The only remaining glimmer I have is I'm not the only one staring into the abyss realizing what it is and what it means. That does provide a glimmer of hope.

The stress I think is finally getting to me. I rarely ever get sick and I feel like I'm getting sick again after going down last month. I should probably take a break as well but I'm one of those people that come hell or high water if I set a goal I follow through on it.
