Sold a gun last night. No paperwork. No background checks. I handed over the gun, he handed over a few Benjamin Franklins. He needed the gun more than I did and I needed the cash more than I did the pistol. I *was* going to replace the pistol with another, but the Mrs. informed me that simply wasn’t going to happen.
The fact that I can dispose of my personal property without the express permission of the state is what burns the anti’s collective asses. It has nothing to do with public safety as now my friend can provide his own, rather the control of the populace these statists require. This is why they have to lie and call it a ‘loophole’. They also have to lie through their teeth to make it sound like criminals can just pick up fully automatic grenade launchers for a few dollars because the reality isn’t exciting nor will it bring in the donations.
What’s really sad is that all background checks do is slow down the law abiding and do nothing to stop dangerous people from obtaining items they can use as weapons.
Remember, flamethrowers are not regulated, but if you believed the Brady’s, this means there are hundreds of drive-by flambés a week.
