So, the blogosphere is all atwitter about Representative Anthony Weiner (D-NY) sending some college age girl a snapshot of his turgid junk in his undies. This episode illustrates something I’ve said over and over, but it bears repeating – we elect utter $#&*ing idiots who have no business being in control of anything more than a your order at McDonalds and even then, require intense supervision.

This goes out to “progressives” and righties alike; the State should not be given power to fuel your little pet project, be it giving free condoms to preschoolers or keeping the icky gays from holding hands in public. These idiots can’t manage 140 characters in Twitter and you want to give them power over your health care?

This isn’t an isolated case either. Politicians continue to prove they’re not worth the carbon they displace. Obama lies through his teeth, praising actions he once condemned when Bush was in office. Joe Biden says stuff so retarded that you wonder if he’s not getting his daily recommended allowance of Thorazine. Numerous Republicans vote against gay anything then get caught riding the Meat Train into the Stinky Subway themselves. And when asked, they’ll lie through their teeth, even with the proof staring right at them.

Yet people continue to flock to their team, voting in whoever promises them the rainbowiest unicorns, knowing damn well it’s never going to happen. Obama isn’t the problem, he’s only a visible symptom. Until we stop electing complete idiots, we’ll keep getting pregnant maids, wide stances in public bathroom stalls, and idjits sending pictures of their wangs to all 40,000 of their Twitter followers.
