JP has a great story
A few years back I was practicing my right to openly carry a firearm, while I was standing in line at a convenience store waiting to purchase a cup of coffee. There was a woman in line in front of me with her 6 or 7 year old son. He had been moving around a bit, like kids do, and saw the pistol on my belt. He looked up at me and asked “are you a cop?” and I told him no. He then went and tugged on the sleeve of his mom’s shirt and asked her “why does he have a gun?”
Her response is what every child should be told from this day on.
Granted, I thought Open Carry was supposed to scare mothers and their children and send them screaming. It’s almost like that’s not true.
