I’ve believed that Osama Bin Laden has been dead for years. I figured had he been alive, he’d be on TV so much that Trump would have started emailing him asking for tips. Turns out, he was alive all this time.

Emphasis on was.

Let’s break down a few items. One, the intelligence we got was from Gitmo from interrogation. Four years ago, mind you, but it took that amount of time to find the bastard. Two, he was hiding in plain sight in Pakistan. Time to reconsider the billions we send them to prop up their government. Three, kudos to Obama for giving the green light on the action. Regardless of how much I disdain the Alleged Hawaiian, that was the right call and he deserves credit for it. Don’t forget however, that Bush was the one who started the effort.

Final thoughts – I’m glad I was wrong. A long dead OBL could exist as a ghost. Without positive proof of his demise, he could have ‘lived’ forever, rallying the forces of evil at the behest of whoever really was in charge. The fact that he’s been on the lam for so long and cowed into basic silence means his death isn’t going to have the same ‘martyr-like’ effect as it would have had he been open and vocal. In that regard, this is more symbolic than strategic. Being on the run, he likely had very little control over operations.

Still, glad to hear he’s been put down.
