.40's good and ubiquitous, but I hear that there are issues with reloading for it.
Us not-presently-working dudes are supposed to roll our own to save money.

I'm not presently working, so even rolling my own is out of the question ;)

Technically, all I need is brass since the dies for the 10mm are the same. However, I'm thinking only factory ammo for this one. Most of the kBoom! stories I hear seem to revolve around .40 reloads for some reason.

My understanding is that one of two things that cause those kabooms in .40: idiots playing with really hot loads, and people reusing glock brass without running it through one of those press-through dies to get it straight again.

Having a progressive press, doing .40 would just be too much of a pain in the butt for me.

Yes that's what I heard too - reloads and bullet crimp or lack thereof.
