The anti-gun crowd loves to play the “People shouldn’t have guns because at any moment, they’ll lose it and kill large groups of handicapped children!”. This is preposterous for two reasons – one, most people are sane and do not go on murdering sprees. Period. Those that do are statistical noise and generally impossible to track down and incarcerate before they kill.
Two, when they do snap they can kill a lot of people very quickly using a very effective tool called the Volkswagen (warning, this video clearly shows attempted mass murder and may be a little disturbing).
Now, the VPC and their ilk won’t care about those dozens of cyclists because they weren’t killed or injured with a gun. They’ll continue to spout the myth that enough people can just snap that outlawing guns makes sense, but then would disagree that we should outlaw cars for the same reason.
