This looks more like an argument for pure democracy than against.

HILARIOUS and yes, I think this is more of an example for democracy than against ...

Hopefully, they will realise that renaming anything is a waste of time and resources and give up!

I heard it said once that a monarchy is tyranny by one, an oligarchy is tyranny by a few, and a democracy is tyranny by the majority.

I explained the difference between a constitutional republic and a pure democracy to my son once, and I started with that very premise. Using the 2A as an example, I explained that a majority could simply vote away any gun rights he had, while in a constitutional republic, the government was not allowed to do certain things, even if a majority votes for those things.

"What kind of government did you give us, Mr. Franklin?"
"A republic, madam, if you can keep it."
Somewhere, we have lost our republic.

I live one county north from Austin, and in contrast to that fine city here in Round Rock we don't have panhandlers on street corners, our underpasses are filled with 6" limestone rubble to deter meth heads from camping out, and our solid waste department is called Round Rock Refuse.

Austinites proudly decorate their Priuses with bumper stickers proclaiming "Keep Austin Weird" while recently I saw a Round Rock pickup with one reading, "Keep Round Rock Normal." The town of Pflugerville, between us and Austin, sports stickers reading, "Stuck Between a Rock and a Weird Place."

And I voted for Fred Durst. I hope it sticks.

Round Rock here as well (we should start a club or something).

Funny thing about the Austin Community Forums Fred Durst society debacle, they forgot to allow only residents to vote, so 4chan and reddit took it upon themselves to rig the vote (another warning against Direct Democracy). Oopsie.
