Would probably be just as misleading about its true size.

I’ve always giggled that my .357 can spit out .38’s. And I guess 10mm sounds much better than 10 and four twenty fifths mm.

I always get a kick out of the cop shows where they look at the bullet hole and say "It's a .38 caliber handgun," or "It's from a 9mm handgun." I think they are different diameters, but isn't it only like 0.07mm--and they're eyeballing it?

I'm surprised he didn't cover the actual origins of the .32/.38/.44 thing.

(Those designations are based on the old outside-lubed heel-based bullets.)
