Pocket carry sucks

Out of sight, out of mind

But Chance explains how to make it suck less with a review of the Executive pocket holster.

For my pocket carry, I prefer to rely on “Oh dear God, don’t make me have to fish this abomination out of my pocket and have to actually shoot it” rather than any other thing that could make it easier.

Wow! Just last night I had a dream where I had my Kahr MK9 in my front jeans pocket (was a little snug) and was struggling in my mind with how I'd smoothly reach in and draw it. In real, waking life, I rarely pocket carry, but when I do I usually wear roomier slacks.

Pocket carry sure as hell beats no carry, and it is not like you are going to have to fight a war with it :).

Still, that rig seems to do an outstanding job of covering all the angles well.

I carry a Colt Mustang in my front pants pocket. I use a Don Hume holster. No problems for me. Do whatever works for you.

I've really enjoyed developing this holster. I had always viewed dual-purpose holsters as something that wouldn't be quite ideal for either of two methods. But, The Executive has turned into a holster that works really well for a pocket holster and also works really well as a tuckable IWB.

Pocket Carry is wicked convenient, and damn hard to detect in a wide-range of clothing.

That being said there are better options, and I only pocket carry when I can't pack a "real gun" : ]
