Bill Quick opines about the difficulty in retrieving some firearms of his from another state and bringing them back to California.

One of the commenters mentions that technically, he could drive to IN, disassemble the firearms, store the parts in separate containers, and not even have a casing of ammo in the car and be within the laws. To which I replied, if we’re having to do all that to obtain weaponry, then it’s kind moot to get them anyway.

This is why I fight against gun laws. I’m 100% on board with keeping guns out of the hands of dangerous people, but the best way to do that is to isolate said dangerous folks from society rather than make a patchwork of laws that the criminals aren’t going to observe anyway. However, keeping the public safe is not the goal of gun-banners nor the politicians who put the laws into place.

The goal is banning guns and demanding servitude to your democratically elected masters.

If they can’t do it outright, then they’ll just make enough laws so that it’s impossible to own or operate a firearm without running afoul in some way. Like say having a small piece of brass that is 100% useless in a firearm being illegal to own, even if it happens to have accidentally rolled under a floor mat or not having enough layers of clothing packed in a box with a part of a gun, thus rendering it ‘easily accessible’.

Dumping 99% of our stupid ‘gun laws’ that do nothing but hassle the law abiding and do nothing at preventing crime is just common sense. Don’t expect that from the likes of the Brady Campaign though.
