I'm just barely old enough to remember seeing them in the catalog. As I was about 6 or 7 when they stopped carrying them, I never had the chance to order one.

1) That's not a gun, it's a gun part.

2) It's not being sold by Sears, but by a third party using the Sears website, the same way your neighborhood used book store sells stuff on Amazon.com through their affiliate's program.

They're still there. For whatever reason, Sears' URLs are time sensitive. Just do a search for Tactilite.

My first gun came from Montgomery Ward in about 1956. Rem single shot 22 model 514. It cost $16 and I was 16 years old. Ammo was 50 cents a box. I recently refinished the stock and spent $100 on drill, tap, mounts and scope. Tack driver. Sorry to ramble on like that...
