Japete is at it once again, confusing “things that happen” with “being legal”
As I have said over and over and over again- yes sir, it is legal to sell guns to felons in most states that have not passed a law to require background checks on all gun sales at gun shows. Private sellers are more than just people selling occasionally. Some of these private sellers sell hundreds of guns a year at gun shows. That is a fact that cannot be avoided. We have more than enough proof. I'm sorry you don't like the facts but they are what they are. These sellers, as I have said, ad nauseum, CAN sell guns to anyone with no background check and nary an I.D. It is not illegal to do so if we have not made it illegal. In my state, people can buy guns without background checks from private gun sellers at gun shows. The sellers may not know who they are selling to, but they could be selling to felons, domestic abusers and other prohibited purchasers. I'm sorry if you missed all the previous debate about this. I am not lying.

Never mind the numerous federal laws that state that you cannot sell a firearm to a known felon. If you know the person is a felon and you sell them a gun anyway, you’ve broken the law. If they lie about it, then they’ve broken the law.
It’s funny how japete continues to believe that point-of-sale is the best opportunity to prevent violent crime, even though it’s been proven that the Brady Background Checks fail 98% of the time and even the 2% that work lead to barely ANY arrests.
