Problem with the exact wording of your sticker is that it would soon obscure the entire contents of most newspapers.

You know what is funny?

I spent a lot of time last week reading about the Mexican Mafia and "La Eme" and local gangs -- and I realized that most of what we all read in the papers has nothing to do with reality. The drug cartels in Mexico have nothing to do with the Mexican Mafia in the California Prison system.

Reporters across the USA use the terms "Mexican Mafia" and "drug cartels" interchangeably, but they are not the same thing. The Mexican Mafia operates like the Italian Mafia -- with "made" men and all the rest.

Anyway, everyone should look at most journalism as a "quick and dirty" profession. They have to put out stories and they usually don't have a lot of time to work on them to get them right. They do the best they can with time constraints.
