Thirdpower lists all the things that Chicagoans will have to go through to 'Keep and Bear Arms'. Unfortunately, to many of the statists, a right isn't infringed as long as eventually you can finish jumping through hoops. Of course, this only applies to the 2nd Amendment.
What if Daley were to say this about the first?

how many people own guns in the USA and how many guns do they own?
Increasingly, neither of those niches are being primarily filled by the dead tree newspapers
Raw news gathering is still dominated by old media (newspapers, TV, etc.) even if it's done online. "Associated Press" which supplies many of the stories bloggers link to is still the same old "AP wire."
No one has ever done any meaningful studies on that.
America is now estimated to have between 238 million and 276 million firearms, compared with some 250 million legally owned guns, or 84 for every 100 people, recorded in a July 2001 survey.
In 1994, 44 million Americans owned 192 million firearms, 65 million of which were handguns. Although there were enough guns to have provided every U.S. adult with one, only 25 percent of adults actually owned firearms; 74 percent of gun owners possessed two or more.
Why are you so hung up on the "dead trees" thing?
As a person with a journalism degree and city newspaper experience,
