You're being drowned out by the sound of the goalposts being moved post haste
The UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change misled the press and public into believing that thousands of scientists backed its claims on manmade global warming, according to Mike Hulme, a prominent climate scientist and IPCC insider. The actual number of scientists who backed that claim was “only a few dozen experts,” he states in a paper for Progress in Physical Geography, co-authored with student Martin Mahony.

It's the #1 talking point of the AGW crowd – thousands of scientists agree so it must be true!!!! Now, the so-called thousands look like they're really only dozens. This is pretty much inline with how I feel about AGW. Sure, we affect the climate, but not to the degree the AGW crowd want us to believe. It's not going to be catastrophic and I have a fear that the prolonged, sluggish sun activity is going to end up cooling us down so much that we wish we had more ability to keep the planet warm.
The whole thing is a sham, and it is taking our eyes off the real pollution and the real damages to our environment. It creates a false market that allows scams and fraud like this to happen on a regular basis since there's all this 'free money' given to find solutions to a problem that hasn't been proven to exist at any magnitude.
I'm all about finding new, less polluting means of energy production. I like nukes for this, but the same scaremongering over nuclear power that has tied our hands to this day is the exact same scaremongering being used to prop up AGW.
Update – In Uncle's comments, smijer points out that the quote above is taken out of context. If I aim for the truth, which I try to do at all times, then it is important that I follow up when something is proven to not be as I've reported it. When read in full, the statement isn't that the IPCC is intentionally misleading people, and it's not quite as strong as a damnation as that one paragraph makes it sound, but it's still a pretty good job of misdirection.
9 out of 10 dentists agree that brushing your teeth is good. 9 out of 10 doctors agree that drinking cyanide laced koolaid is bad for your health. This doesn't mean 90% of all medical professionals agree about the dangers of brushing your teeth and drinking cyanide.
In the IPCC case, some scientists agree on a point. There are many points. All the scientists do not necessarily agree on all the points together.
Oh, and I do so dig this portion of the quote linked as refutation
Third, it is the chapter lead authors – say 10 to 20 experts – on detection and attribution who craft the sentence about detection and attribution, which is then scrutinised and vetted by reviewers and government officials.
Because unelected bureaucrats and politicians are HIGHLY qualified to review scientific literature for accuracy!
1. When compared with pre-1800s levels, do you think that mean global temperatures have generally risen, fallen, or remained relatively constant? 2. Do you think human activity is a significant contributing factor in changing mean global temperatures?
Results show that overall, 90% of participants answered “risen” to question 1 and 82% answered yes to question 2. In general, as the level of active research and specialization in climate science increases, so does agreement with the two primary questions (Figure 1). In our survey, the most specialized and knowledgeable respondents (with regard to climate change) are those who listed climate science as their area of expertise and who also have published more than 50% of their recent peer-reviewed papers on the subject of climate change (79 individuals in total). Of these specialists, 96.2% (76 of 79) answered “risen” to question 1 and 97.4% (75 of 77) answered yes to question 2
