That I had to look up 'Weltanschauungs', but it makes for a good read nonetheless.

Unfortunately, I think I'm more in line with Scooteroi's perspective. I don't think this is all going to end well.

It hits the fan when things change in a big way, and nothing says that what the fan distributes will be distributed evenly.

However, I'm coming to the conclusion that it's a Very Good Thing that Obama got elected, as what we're seeing is the complete puncturing of the "if we can only get the right people elected, government will work correctly" bubble.

There's a post in this, but this is one of those watershed moments. Government is being discredited, and it looks like there's a boatload more where that came from (the collapse of entitlements, sovereign debt crisis, etc). That's some righteous "Change" there.
