What's the difference between a hunting rifle and a high powered sniper rifle?

This is from the shootings I mentioned yesterday. Notice the wording of the sheep, notice how a complete lack of knowledge about firearms lead him to believe it was a sniper rifle. See how his lack of exposure assured him that there's no way someone can really have a firearm and therefore it must be a toy.

Surprisingly, Jay and I agree even if he doesn't think we do. To the gun banner, EVERY gun must be banned. There is no difference in their diseased little minds between a .22 Short revolver and a .50 BMG. Because they cannot segregate the criminal from their implements, all guns are evil.
They will tell you that they only want to ban certain firearms because of their penchant for causing choir boys to go on rampages, but stories like this should remind you that every firearm is in their sights. They want to ban things that are small because they are concealable. They want to ban the hunting sniper rifles because they are too big. Unlike Goldilocks however, there is no 'just right' in their mind.
And when they do, there will still be shootings. There will still be crime and violence. The sheep will no longer be able to contest the vote of the wolves regarding what to have for dinner.
