Sometimes when you don't have a gun, you improvise by taking your attacker's shotgun and beating him near to death with it.
Sometimes you see your attackers' gun is unloaded and then proceed to beat the hell out of them and hogtie them with electrical cords.
Then, both sets of thugs get their pictures online after said beating, and smiles break out amongst the populace.
Remember, the gun is a very effective tool but without the will to fight back, it's useless. With the will to fight back, sometimes it's not even necessary.
