Yep, I saw one of those back in 1989. It basically uses a UV laser to draw onto a UV reactive resin that hardens on contact with UV light. As each layer is "drawn" the machine submerges the previous "drawing" so the next one can be drawn and connected to it. Saw one "draw" out an entire skyscraper from a 3D CAD file.
