Here's a thought for you, how about you don't take my money to begin with so that there's no need for communities to have to somehow beg for my money from the federal f'in government?

if I earned it and I live in my community, isn't what i pay in property taxes and sales taxes my communities "fair Share" all the rest is mine. Everybody else who does not provide goods or services to the fed.gov can go your own job!

Yeah, got one too. It’s so thoughtful of the gov to allocate expenditure of funds taken from “taxpayers” to warn us that another violation of the Constitution is forthcoming. My reply: “2 people live in this house. None of your other questions are authorized under our Law of The Land. The head count for apportionment of the election of Representatives to the House is the only part of the census that is authorized by the Constitution. All else is “interpretation” and exceeds the limitations placed on government by the Constitution, which cannot be changed by Congress passing a law ( see Article V ). ( Why, if that were not so, it would be analogous to criminals acting as judges ! Oh, wait … ) The question about race is irrelevant; or should be. After all, isn’t it illegal for anyone, including government, to discriminate based on race? Etc, Etc, Etc. My determination is that it is my decision as to whether or not I give out such personal data. Recall if you will that the Constitution does not grant government, nor the people, anything. Rather, it places limits on government while recognizing that the people have and retain all rights.

CarlS has it right, let them know how many live at that address, and that's it, they have no need/right to any other information, if its a personal visit to get that info, i would inform them that they are trespassing and point to the sign that informs them of that fact, and then let them know you are doing 1.> getting your gun, 2.> calling the police to have them removed alive or dead.

Those were exactly the lines I took issue with. Of course last night I had to sit through the census ads on Hulu as well. the language just feels so damn manipulative and overtly soviet in tone.

Sweet $DEITY does the current census crap put me in a rage. Everything about its current status is wrong.

How many people also got the American Community Survey asking how many bathrooms were in your house and how many miles you commuted to work? The penalties for failing to fill that out were pretty stomach churning in their vagueness.

How much to send a letter to every household in the US?

Who owns the businesses that hold the contracts to print, stuff, and mail those letters?

My plan for the Census goes something like printing out one 8.5" x 11" piece of paper that says, "Per Article 1 Section 2 of the Constitution, the only answer you are entitled to is: 1" The preamble will be in 11 font, the 1 will appear in 500 font, the largest I could make it and fit in one sheet of paper.

When Cump Sherman was Marching Through Georgia, he had a copy of the 1860 census report with him. Apparently even then they asked for too much information, as he was able to divert the course of the ant stream so as to go after the places with the most stuff to steal.

I swear, if I'm ever in St. Louis, I will tastefully place a sprig of poison ivy in an old-fashioned glass urine specimen jar on his grave, as a goative offering. The jar will have the appropriate liquid in it.

I owe this to my Ga. ancestors who first arrived in the state in the 1830s.

Lewis Black has a bit about this same thing when the Bush era "stimulus" check went out. Why the F don't they just send the damned check/survey? What retards! And the mouth breathers want these same people to be in charge of your health? Will they send a letter saying you may/may not have cancer a month before they send your test results?
