At this point, it's probably easier to just forgo the licensing altogether. When you get pulled over, just claim you're an undocumented worker.

Utah is going in the same direction. Positive proof of citizenship PLUS proof of residency. No more renewals on-line. Now the DMV lines will be even worse. Going in the direction of the fed dot gov Real ID (really?)

Damn. Now I have three months to escape from FL. Hey, if Andrea Harris could do so with no money, maybe I can, too. It's really not supposed to be an ID card, just permission to drive a car. There's still a vestige of that in FL law, in that you can't be penalized for driving without it as long as you produce it in court.

Why can't the voter's reg. card be a tamper-proof photo ID to get which you have to prove who you are, where you live etc. and the DL just a piece of paper with your name and driving qualifications on it? That would be the correct way to do it. What we have is upside down and backwards.

Yup, DE is much the same...

Of course there are quite a few illegals driving around here w/o a license or insurance. (There are mushroom farms near my house, including one at the top of the street. They hire mostly undocumented latinos)

Is there such a thing as an uncertified birth "certificate?" Maybe the birthers can answer that one for us, seeing as we've all seen the certificate that supposedly isn't a certificate.
