Outdoor Life is taking a poll as to who has done the most to promoting hunting, fishing, and conservation, and I was wondering if you would give a mention to Lowell Baier, whose voting page is here: http://www.boone-crockett.org/news/featured_story.asp?area=news&ID=66 Lowell is a friend, and a serious hunter and shooter. President of Boone and Crockett, cofounder of Safari Club’s National Capital Chapter, Life Member of NRA, member of International Wild Sheep Hunters’ Association. Last year Budweiser named him conservationist of the year, and he donated the prize money to preserving Teddie Roosevelt’s ranch. Voting goes on thru Dec. 31. At the moment he’s in second place, behind by 45 votes. (The No. 1 candidate is a Ken Whiting. When I google him, I turn up kayaking and fly fishing, nothing on shooting. My post on him is here. BTW, voters also get entered in a drawing for five Leatherman knives.
