81-Year-Old Man Hits Bull’s-Eye On Intruder
An 81-year-old man shot and killed a masked gunman during a home invasion early this morning at a residence north of Brewton, Escambia County Sheriff Grover Smith said. The sheriff said the robber had been released from a Nebraska jail just two days before he was killed. Smith declined to identify the homeowner, but said the man and his wife were in bed in their home along U.S. 31 north of town about 3 a.m. when the intruder kicked in the door to the home and entered their bedroom, demanding money. Smith said the homeowner managed to retrieve a pistol from the bedside table and pointed it at the robber, who told the homeowner to drop the weapon. Instead, Smith said, the homeowner fired the gun, striking the intruder in the forehead, killing him instantly.

Let's back up just a bit to this lovely line
Let me spell it out for the anti's out there. The problem isn't with the homeowner's gun.The issues have nothing to do with how easy the homeowner could purchase a firearm or how many rounds it held or what caliber bullet it launches. The problem is that the criminals in our society are not locked away from the citizenry. Go look at the rap sheets of the thugs who end up killing someone, I guarantee you that they'll be multiple pages.
No, instead the anti gunners out there would much prefer it if this octogenarian had just died or been brutally beaten for some cash and prescription heart medicine rather than use a gun to defend himself and his wife.
And now, statistically, the robber's chances at recidivism have reached zero.
