A Bonefish Grill near Glenn decides that the law abiding are not welcome

I've let them know of my displeasure

I recently have been alerted to a sign from one of your Tennessee stores that indicates that your company equates law abiding gun owners with criminals (http://pajamasmedia.com/instapundit/84232/).

Is this corporate policy? Because if so, then I'm more than happy to take my business elsewhere.

Please be aware that this particular sign has started gaining attention on the internet and that many gun owners like myself are quite sensitive to being equated to criminals.

Dixie, the only thing I'll caution you on is to make sure it's a corporate policy first before denying all BFG's your business. Otherwise, it's just one dumb owner.

Robb- the BFG in my area sits under the departure pattern of a national airport in what could politely be described as a "bad area." However, I do admit I was hasty. This probably is just one dumb owner.

My local BFG (at the other end of TN) has that exact same sign, so if it's not corporate policy, corporate at least provides the sign as a franchisee option.

While I am as big a fan of 2nd ammendment rights as anyone. The letter to the grill does not make sense.

The sign does not equate anyone to being a criminal.

They may be dorks for their policy against law abiding citizens, but they have not made me feel like a criminal.

If someone wanted to have a cigar in my house, that is not going to happen. It is not illegal, its just against my policy for my house.

I agree to take your business elsewhere, but the grill has not actually lashed out at us.
