With the OMG LOADED WEAPONS IN PARKS DRUNK REDNECKS SHOOTING IT OUT OVER THE LAST SCHLITZ!!!!! craze going on in all the newspapers over the continent, there are two things that I've noticed.
One, the complete inability of the authors to discern the difference between peaceful, law abiding citizens and murderers (that's par for the course), and apparently, regardless of where the paper is located, the commenters simply ripping them to shreds. Even over at Alternet!
I wonder what it's like to wake up one day and realize all the power you've thought you've held over public opinion doesn't amount to a teaspoon of frothy spit? From the tone of newspaper opinions recently, they've got a lot of the frothy stuff everywhere.
