The Big Brown Truck Of Happiness showed up today with a package from Crimson Trace. Inside the packing peanuts and receipt was, lo and behold, a laser sight for my Kel-Tec P3AT.

Inside was everything I needed to help bad guys make informed decisions. Batteries, swabs, Allen wrenches, and of course the laser unit itself.

The laser clips onto the forward portion of the trigger guard in two halves. Here you can see the innards of the light amplification through stimulated emissions of radiation unit -

The actuation switch is perfectly located in the one spot I happen to be able to fit a finger on without changing the grip at all. The nib might even help a bit.

A few turns of the included screws and she was all set and ready to go.

The laser was absolutely SPOT ON when compared to what passes for iron sights on the P3AT. No adjustments necessary. The fit was tight, and once screwed down, didn't move a millimeter. The weight difference was unnoticeable and the switch unobtrusive. The laser dot was bright and absolutely perfect for this weapon. I highly recommend that even if you're not a laser type person but you own a small, pocket pistol like the P3AT, that you look into getting a Crimson Trace that fits for you.

Of course, I worried that my Blackhawk holster would no longer fit due to the added height below the muzzle. Turns out my worries were unfounded.

Perfect.

If the ammo fairy ever blesses me with some .380, I'll definitely be happy to take the laser for a spin and give you all a full report.
