Poor Paul Helmke. He must be a very sad panda when even he has to crack jokes like this
“Nobody listens to you anymore,” Helmke joked during a recent informal question-and-answer session at The News-Sentinel. “So I went to (Washington) D.C., where nobody listens to me anymore.”
No Paul, the reason people don't listen to you any more is because your entire premise is based on lies and twisting statistics. I mean, let's examine this statement from the same article
“All of our gun laws are basically set with the presumption that we don't want to do anything to make it hard for anybody to get a gun,” Helmke said. “People always say there are all these laws on the books. There aren't any laws on the books.”
There are 20,000 laws on the books, Paul, and you know this to be true yet still spout your lies. You know as well as every other person with 2 brain cells left to rub together that tougher laws that only affect those who are honorable enough to follow them will have no effect on those who don't yet you still push for them. Your continued chorus to disarm the law abiding is what makes you so easily dismissible.
I know it's projection, but I can only assume that creatures like Paul Helmke and Josh Sugarmann do not give a damn about public safety but instead find some sort of sick satisfaction at sucking at the ever flowing tit of tragedy since there's no other way I could possibly comprehend why they do what they do.
Buck up Paul, I'm sure there will be a high profile suicide / mass murder that you'll be able to get your face on the TV spouting your lies soon enough.
