So, yesterday I did a science experiment. To be a real experiment, I had to develop my hypothesis on what I thought would happen then run it.

My experiment was to go overly-armed to a large crowd of people. My hypothesis was that the multiple pistols I was carrying would cause me incur a sudden onset of psychosis and start shooting children in the head at close range. Since guns cause crime and murder, I had to assume that several guns would definitely put me over the edge.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen and my hypothesis was incorrect. Instead, the worst thing I had to go through was trying to remember which pocket contained spare memory cards and which one contained the KelTec. Nothing like running out of memory and trying to jam a .380 into the CompactFlash slot (it just about fits, by the way).

For a fact, I know that there were several other people there who were armed as well. Even when in close proximity to them, the Glock failed to transmit any mind-controlling waves of mayhem.

I'm not sure why this experiment failed. The anti-gun groups constantly harp about how guns are the problem and yet, even with all those guns around, nothing happened. Maybe there weren't enough handicapped nuns or orphans to make a large enough tragedy or something.

It's almost like the Brady Campaign or VPC doesn't know what it's talking about.
