With a bit of time under my belt, I'm going to say that the initial rollout of my blogging software, Ansible, is a rousing success. So far, no crashes, no problems that weren't attributed to typos, and the performance has been off the charts.

Now comes the hard work. The back-end administration.

As of now, new links and any housekeeping is done basically via the database. I just open it up, type in the new record, and viola! stuff! However, doing that sucks and takes too much time and can really only be done from my desktop computer or from within the network. The 'admin' pages I have are as rudimentary as they get and really only show me the log of errors.

So, time to get to work. The issue is that it's not 'fun' work. All the effort is invisible to the rest of the world. You won't see how cool the Ajax-enabled link management system is or how well done the master pages are. But it needs to be done to consider it a full blown blogging engine.

I don't even have any way of inputting stories unless I use Live Writer, however that really would be a simple thing to implement, minus any cool 'editing' stuff.

So, at some point I'm just going to have to break down and get busy with it.
