According to Sgt. Dennett, a student found the bullet in the washing machine while doing his laundry. 45-caliber bullets are used in assault weapons such as handguns, not larger weapons like hunting rifles. Norton Police was called to aid in the investigation, and a bomb-sniffing dog went through the dorm to search for evidence. No firearms were found, but the investigation is still ongoing.
Now handguns are "assault weapons". You know, the same weapons Sergeant Jacob Dennett carry daily- I assume so that they can assault civilians.

At the moment, police say it's possible that someone found the bullet somewhere and innocently put it in their pocket and forgot about it, or there could be more malicious intents.
I love it. The bullet indicates possible intent! How do police officers like Sgt. Dennett even load their pistols? Do they cower in the corner until they work up enough nerve to touch the cartridges, lest their mind controlling 'intent' forces them to shoot up a Women's Empowerment Seminar?
Nah, they know the rounds are useless without a pistol to shoot them out of and know they have no power to control minds, it's that the police have to make even a primer sound so scary, so life threatening that the populace curls up into a fetal ball at the sheer mention of any component of ammunition. That way, the police can look like the tough guys as they bravely touch the object of death with their bare hands!!!!! If the citizenry were educated, understood their rights and what it meant to be a free person, they'd not need to rely so heavily on the police.
So, I assume the PSH from the cops is just attempts at job security.
What a bunch of whiney bitches... Geez, if I can make it a week without finding a round or two in my laundry, I've done good.
