So, I've been moved around where I work into a position I'm not to happy to have. The pay's the same, the job title is the same, but I won't be doing any development and instead be stuck in a support role. Not exactly what I want to do with my career. I'm creative, I need to have a creative outlet or else I'll get bored stiff.

While I've been told it's not 'permanent', I doubt that's true. There is a big emergency that I'm supposed to hop in and fix as soon as I can, yet I was told that my first week in my new position would be in training for monitoring software. It's the 'warm body' problem - work needs to be done so they grab the nearest person to do it. That sucks for me.

Of course, this isn't the best time to go searching for a new job, but there are things out there I can do with minimal change in my lifestyle. However, I'm thinking that if it really does come down to me being totally unhappy and wanting to leave the company I've worked at for over 10 years, it's possible that I move out of Florida.

I have no problem with moving, it's just that I can't move to any state that won't respect my Second Amendment rights. California, Massachusetts, New York, etc are off the list. In fact, I would probably use the Brady's grading system to help decide.

Florida is pretty good when it comes to guns. There are a few dumb rules, but over all I can go practically anywhere I want without fear of being branded a felon. My home state of Georgia is a mess. You can open carry, but you can't go to a mall if there's a 'gathering', churches are out of the question as are bus stops, no places that serve alcohol, etc. The last time I went up there, I probably broke so many laws that the state would have tried to have me executed had I been caught. So, home is out of the question.

What states do you personally think are the best for us gun owners?
