Because that's some loud silence
Look, I'm not going to defend the NRA and say they're perfect. In fact, there's a ton of stuff I disagree with them on, but they're huge as far as an organization is concerned and the more people you have the more diluted your aims are going to be to meet the needs and desires of your constituents.
I do believe that overall, the NRA is a positive force. Sure, they've done plenty of boneheaded things but the funny thing is that many of the times, they've done so for the same reasons that some argue against them - purity.
For example, Heller. They weren't on board because Heller wasn't their way of doing things. It wasn't their case.
So, I still am a member. I still give them money (never understood looking for discounted memberships). Perfect? Far from it. But still a good group. Can't blame them for not attacking Holder outright as even a success only results in Obama picking another someone who is hostile to the 2nd Amendment. We voted for a socialist, we're getting a socialist and everything it entails.
Gonna be a rough, rough ride.
We will say: "Look at this guy! The American people expressed their will, and he does something even worse! He's spiteful. He's a typical, corrupt Chi-town politician who is using his office to repay favors."
