Patrol: Car Topped 120 MPH In Chase Before Hitting Manatee Inn

A woman fleeing state troopers reached speeds of nearly 130 mph before crashing into Knights Inn and sending five people to the hospital Sunday morning.

Got it? Some bimbo decides that she's not going to stop for any cop, blows through a red light at 100 mph, and then crashes into a hotel injuring herself, a child, and an elderly woman (all in her car), as well as 2 others, all because car-nuts have the mythical "right" to own dangerous, assault hot-rods.

Why are cars like this even legal? If we would require ID before getting gas, this would stop a lot of crazy drivers from killing so many people. We should place governors in all engines, outlaw "high capacity" gas tanks, require background checks before purchasing a car, and limit purchases to one car a year. Oh, and throw people who's cars get stolen in jail if they don't report it in 24 hours.

80hp is all that is required for any car. Nobody needs that kind of power as fast cars always force people to drive unsafe. Nobody would buy a 200hp+ car unless they were planning on running into hotels and evading arrest. Fast cars are used by crooks as getaway vehicles.

Call your senator now! Don't let someone's want kill another child!
