Bill Quick attempts to buy a rifle. In California.
The sending FFL has to go to a special web sight and jump through three pages of hoops. I, of course, pay an additional $100 to support the California FFL transfer system. And at the moment, I don’t know whether the seller will even want to go through this insane rigamarole. I took another look at GunsAmerica, and saw that several sellers will no longer sell to California residents. No doubt the authors of this latest bullshit think that is a plus.
There's your 'common sense' regulations Obama and the gun banners talk so much about. Bill Quick isn't a thug on the street looking to rob grannies of their Bingo money. Those guys don't bother with web sites and FFL transfers.
This isn't reasonable. This isn't sensible. This is madness that has no chance in hell of reducing crime. What it does is reduce the number of people who are willing to go through the hoops to legally obtain a legal object thus probably creating "criminals" of people who won't go through such hassle and just purchase their guns in other manners.
Luckily for Bill and all Californians, there appears to be hope.
