Neighbors

I've mentioned before my immediate neighbor liked guns and the house on the other side is for sale, but the previous owner was a gun owner as well. So, my cold is pretty much gone. Still have some sinus crunk to expel, but not feeling all that awful. I'm on vacation for two week. Woohoo! From bad to worse

This morning, at precisely 4 am, I woke up with a splitting migraine to go along with my cold. I got out of bed around 3:30 PM to grab a small bite to eat, then went back. Worst day in a long time. My migraines usually don't last that long, and at 9:10, I'm still feeling like crap. That would be why I've been quiet all day. Hopefully tomorrow will find me feeling better.

Hard work pays off

So, I've been eating oatmeal every morning, Cheerio's at night, avoiding deep fried foods, and drinking some plant extract crap that's supposed to actively remove cholesterol. In about 3 months, my cholesterol level has gone from 218 to 196. I'm now accustomed to my new diet so maintaining it shouldn't be a problem. Pb chucking success stories

Managed to score a little time to hit the range yesterday. Had to choose between clinging to my religion or my guns, and due to several factors the guns won out. While I enjoy going to the range with others, this outing required my complete concentration as I was testing out a new set of reloads in various weights / charges with the .45ACP. Strange satisfaction

A buddy of mine bought his first handgun ULTRA-PORTABLE-DEATH-MACHINE and takes it to the range. But my pattern did give me a happy inner glow, more confidence in the weapon, and some 'strange satisfaction'. I know of that feeling. I'm not sure I can describe it in words, but it has a lot to do with the realization that you're not powerless.
