It was suicide by cop, to be sure, but it's still an odd way to go.

Can't say that killing a guy who is about to commit suicide is a good strategy, but then neither is pointing a gun at someone who isn't suicidal and is armed.

Hate it for the wife and kids, hate it for the officer. But if it had to end in death, in this case, the right guy is dead.
