Just want to make sure everyone is clear on the situation with my pistol. Para has a lifetime warranty. So, they will fix it no matter what for as long as the pistol is... well, a pistol. They are paying for the shipping of the gun back to the repair shop and the shop has been instructed to include an extra Power Extractor, just in case.
Para USA called me at home to discuss the problem. They're going out of their way to ensure I have a working pistol. In fact, the specific breaking of the extractor isn't something they've seen before. Normally, the claw breaks, or the piston or spring, but never the actual thing that holds them all together. Luck, it would appear, has it in for me.
And I have to admit, there's more than an emotional attachment to this pistol, I personally LOVE the LDA. As a Glock owner, it just feels natural to me. Not to mention, it's $#&@*ing accurate as all get out. More accurate than I can shoot it.
So, depression and frustration aside, I appreciate Para standing behind their work like they are and before long, I will have a very nice, competition ready pistol.
