If this is true, then McCain is going to take Florida. I hope it's not true and that he still takes Florida, but I only get one vote on it so I can't really pull it off myself.
Amendment 2 is an anti-gay proposal (although the commercials against it never mention gays, only hetero-companions) meant to define marriage and one man and one woman only. I believe marriage is a spiritual thing but if two (or more...yeesh) people want to shack up, that's none of anyone else's business and the government should have no say in what constitutes marriage at all.
Needless to say, out of the 3,872,881 amendments this year, I shan't be voting yes to any of them, even the one I agree with the intent.
However, people who vote for this amendment aren't going to be likely Obama supporters, and if 55% +/- 4 points is accurate, that means at least 50% of Florida voters are going to pull the level (or, more technically pencil in the circle) for McCain. I think that was more the goal than actually getting the amendment passed - try to get the more traditional minded folks out to vote since they'll lean heavily towards McCain.
