I don't plan on putting any bumper stickers on my new car. The Jeep was old and I didn't care about adhesive marks. The GTI? Not so ambivalent on.

It does suck a little that I only got to use the "No Thanks, Keep the Change" sticker (now illegal in all 50 states!) for a week. And I'm definitely going to miss the looks on people's faces in my review mirror as they try to comprehend my "Caution, I may or may not brake for Schrödinger's Cat" sticker.

However, I have no problem putting an NRA sticker on my windshield, and I need to obtain another one. nor would I mind putting a USMC emblem on the back as well. However, I'm actually afraid to go into a recruiters office and pick up a new one because I'm all beard-ie and earring-ie.

Silly, eh?

I never put stickers on the paint...even on my beat-up pick-up truck. I put them along the bottom of the rear window. Only one row to keep from obstructing the view. The sticky stuff cleans off glass (with a little "Goo-Gone") much easier than paint.

Eh, people did not give me second glances when I pulled out my military ID card with a full beard and mustache going. Of course, that could be due to the "Reserves" listed on it, or people just not knowing better, but you know...

The only things that have adorned my car have been a Georgia Tech sticker (which nature removed, thanks to the car sitting for seven months out in the open in San(dblast) Diego), a "Zoom-Zoom" (it is a Mazda), and a "Blue Sun". Ditto on the glass, though - never the paint.

I don't like putting bumper stickers on my car, but I picked up a roll of magnetic sheet at a craft store, affixed the sticker to that and put that on my car. Worked well for months, though eventually the sheet warped enough that it fell off.
