They're roundly being criticized, but the fact that socialist idiots like this exist is what keeps the Democrats hanging on. Jealous of other's money, assuming that the only way to make money is to steal it from others, and just general ignorance over the basics of economics combined with an infinite well of hate to dip from and you get those who will vote for the candidate who will "steal from the rich to give to the poor".
The Republicans have their own brand of idiots keeping them afloat too...
