I hadn't shot the 10mm in a few months. At 7 yards, the first 10 shots were all in the black (about an 2" circle). Me proud of self. Me shoot damned good! 10 yards, me still excellent.

Got to shoot the old man's Beretta PX4 Storm. It was a nice firearm. The trigger is very different than anything I've felt, so it took me a while to get used to it. Plus, he purchased a laser for it, and I'm not a fan of lasers as it is and the blinky red dot threw me off (that, and it was waaaaaay out of alignment at first). Shot his Sig a few times as well, and I still think Sig makes the best triggers out of the box.

Then I headed to the rifle range and fired off $40 worth of... I mean 40 rounds of 6.8 SPC.

Funny story. As I was getting ready to shoot, the guy next to me was with the range officer loading up a bajillion clips for a full auto. I assume the renter asked about how loud the MG was going to be and the range officer said "a bit louder than that guy's (pointing to me) AR".

Then I fired one off.

"Ok, that wasn't a regular AR. Not quite as loud as that," was the response from the RO ;)

At 30 yards, 10 rounds went into a half dollar sized hole from an unsupported sitting position. At 50 yards, about a fist sized hole. Standing at 50 yards, maybe an open hand sized grouping. And at 100 yards standing, I hit the paper twice. On the edges.

I need more 100 yard practice. And a spotting scope.

The old man wouldn't shoot the EBR. The thought of $1 a round bothered him. My reloads were as precise as the Silver State Armory loads I bought. So, those loads were perfect and I'll keep them. The 10mm loads with 10.4gr of Blue Dot were fine, if a bit soft feeling. I may try 11gr for the next batch (yeah, I didn't work up a load, sue me).

The best thing of the day was somehow I ended up getting the range time for free. So that definitely means I can go again soon!

Ah, much better. Shooty time is so relaxing.
