Well, I guess I'm just going to sit out this election

Politics

No one left to vote for... Too tired of voting against.

I'd prefer to see McCain in office over Obillary any day, but he's going to have to do it without my vote.

I'll probably just write in Fred! for no real reason except to say I voted.

JP, the problem is that there's always some reason like that. It's a difficult decision to make, don't get me wrong. I don't trust McCain to put conservatives in there anyway. A true conservative would find the McCain-Feingold act unconstitutional and strike it down.

I don't think he'd risk that.

Look how well staying home worked in 2006. I agree with you that McCain is a sucky candidate and may not nominate conservatives to the Nine Nazgul, I mean the Supreme Court, but you know damn well what you're gonna get with either of the other candidates. Jeebus, Justice Stevens is what, 900 years old? Even a goofy, unreliable like O'Conner would be better than another far left crazy.
I mourned for a few days after Fred dropped out, but I always said I'd vote for Satan before I'd let Hillary get my vote. Staying home is a vote for her. As unpleasant as it is for me, McCain it is. At least he's always been pretty much pro 2A.

What the hell happened for us to end up like this anyway?

I'd still vote for other politicians. I'm not punishing the entire political spectrum because of the presidential choice.

However I have to admit, Obama scares me worse than Hillary.

It's going to be a tough call. I'm all for ending this abusive relationship with the GOP, but lord knows the other side is really, really bad too.
