The babysitter is coming over today so that the Mrs. and I can actually hit the range together!!!
Last year I bought the family pass to the range with the verbal agreement that she would go with me at least 4 times to make up for the added cost. That was Feb. last year.
This is the second time she's gone with me. Grumble....
Don't get me wrong. My wife is at least no longer a hoplophobe. She doesn't care if I carry to church or the park or even around the house. She still doesn't like shooting, but I hope to change that a little today.
Today, she'll be firing the Ruger .22 pistol. I'm hoping the low recoil, quiet shots will put her a little more at ease. I'd really love to get her to actually enjoy an outing here and there with me. Bless her heart, she's trying to keep a good attitude about it (even told me last night that it was going to be fun. Liar, but appreciated nonetheless). I wish I could make that the truth, but I'll settle for ambivalence over hostility any day.
No pictures or movies this time since the range has instituted a no videography / photography rule as of late. Which sucks, but it's their range, their rules.
