I just overheard one of the uber-lefties here at work talk about how he was trying to change his affiliation so he could vote Huckabee in the primaries.

Think about it. He thinks it's more important to get someone in who they can defeat than to allow the people who truly are looking to select a candidate that matches their views to get their voices heard. He has to set up a strawman that can be demolished in order to validate his own views. And when the Huckster loses (and I would not vote for him, that's for sure) people like this would honestly believe that people wanted the Democrats in power.

I'm sure there's Republicans that do the same thing, and they're just as bad as this guy.

Democracy sucks, but it's still the best system out there. It's much better if you let it work right instead of trying to rig the outcome.
