Seriously. What law is so powerful that even the deranged are cowed by its authority?
He found Jason Wenger, 27, a graduate student at the University of Alaska Anchorage. According to the documents, Rogers told police he shot Wenger a few hours later during a carjacking at Wenger's West Anchorage home. When he wasn't able to get Wenger's body out of his Bronco quickly enough, Rogers fled on foot to a wooded spot, where he took a nap, he told police. At that point, he told police he was no longer concerned about getting caught and "just wanted to kill a few more people," court papers say. After buying some cigarettes and beer, Rogers crossed paths with Elizabeth Rumsey, 33, a law clerk for the Alaska Supreme Court who had won the Wilderness Woman Contest in Talkeetna a day earlier. Rumsey was walking on a bike path near Westchester Lagoon about 7:20 p.m. Sunday when Rogers asked her for the time, the court papers say. He told police he shot her because she appeared frightened. Rumsey's friends said she is in pain but seems to be doing well. The next morning, just blocks away, Rogers shot Tamas Deak, 43, multiple times while carjacking his SUV, which Deak had just stepped out of his house to start before going to work, the charging documents say. Deak, a landscape architect with a wife and two children, is expected to make a full recovery.

Spare me the "If there were no guns, he wouldn't have shot those people" tripe. That's like saying if there were no air, nothing would catch fire. Besides, this guy simply wanted to kill others, I doubt he gave a damn if it was with a gun or a bat.
Now, here's an off topic observation. Mr. Deak was shot 5 times with a .357 Magnum (not a semi automatic, a classic revolver). 5 times! He's still alive. Even as powerful as the .357 Magnum is, it's all about placement. The anti-rights bigots out there want you to think that a single shot from a .22 will blow someone completely in half, and it's a complete lie. But then again, lies are what the Gun Control Agenda is built upon.
