Gun Rights

A lot of people are talking about the recent shootings. Some of it are conversations I've overheard, the others are through my news alerts.

The big thing I see and hear is the concept that Gun Free Zones are useless. Anywhere. Everyone seems to be on the ball that an armed good guy is not the problem and is the only one who will obey the rules anyway.

I have a feeling we're about to see a significant shift in gun rights. Just a hunch. A lot of these places I've read in my alerts have nothing to do with politics nor gun rights. And when you get the Average Joe to start talking about these things in the same terms us gunnies have been since the dawn of the firearm, something is happening.

I agree. Sad, but amazing we have two shootings back to back, one in a gun free zone and one with an armed citizen.

Few can resist, despite the media's attempt, to compare the situations and outcomes.

I agree. there are signs that public opinion is turning. A good indicator might be increased permit applications. Advent of lawsuits in multiple jurisdictions would go a long way to getting the attention of currently posted commercial locations.
Won't make a difference in government buildings. They have to obligation to protect.

My wife was a STANCH Hoplophobe when we were dating and first married. Now she's applying for a CCW permit.

I got asking her about the change. She mentioned it wasn't any one thing, she just relized that the more she looked into the "dangers" of guns, and the "benefits" of gun-control the more she relized she had it all backwards.

I went through a similar revelation myself. Its just keeping the facts as available as the lies

its even easier than that. Just get them to tell the truth from the fiction and they'll have no CHOICE but to respect our rights. As a group we're good people doing good things, and we dislike the badguys just as much as they do!

False!. We dislike the bad guys way more than they do. We don't advocate for them to have a guaranteed pool of victims and they do.
