Around our house, tomorrow is a day of celebration. While September 11th, 2001 was a tragic day, September 11th, 2002 saw the birth of my first child, Georgia Noelle.

Tomorrow she turns 5. Man does time fly when you're an old fart.

Anyway, Georgia's favorite color is pink. Pink pink pink. Everything she wants is pink, including wanting pink highlights in her hair. So the Mrs. and me said "Why not?". We're cool parents, so this Saturday Georgia got her birthday wish.

Getting ready

Foiled!

Patiently waiting

Lather, rinse, repeat

Yeah, I know I'm totally cool!

Just too cute!!!!

I'm anxious to see how preschool goes today. I'm sure, being a church run pre-k, there's going to be a parent or two who'll get their unmentionables in a twist, but it's just so cute! Funny how if you were to see this on a 30 year old, it would look odd, but on a 5 year old little girl, pink just works.

She loves it. I love it. The Mrs. has a slight case of buyer's remorse, but she's more worried about other parents freaking out or, what I think is going to happen, her friends are going to ask their parents to do the same thing.

The funny thing about all this is that it's going to head off some obnoxious behavior when she's a teenager. When she's 14 and screaming to get green hair, we'll just laugh and say "Honey, you did that kind of thing when you were five!".
