Went to the range last night with Greg. Had a damned good time shooting .22, 10mm, 7.62x54R, and 7.62x39. The SKS is fun to shoot as the 7.62x39 is nowhere near as punishing as the 7.62x54R.

However, before I hit the range, I needed some more .22LR. Since I seem to go through a brick of it in less than 3 weeks. The guy at Wal-Mart had to ask if he heard me right.

Yes, I wanted 5 550 round boxes. If it wouldn't have pissed off the Mrs., I would have cleaned them out of the 20 boxes that were there. 11,000 rounds would have lasted me another year.

So now, sitting in my closet, there are 2,750 rounds of .22 Long Rifle ammunition, 650 rounds of 7.62x54R, 500 rounds of 10mm*, and 500 rounds of .357 Magnum / .38 Special*.

Approximately 4,400 rounds of ammunition at my house. And I still say this is amateurish compared to serious gun enthusiasts.

Oddly enough, not one of these cartridges is a threat or danger to any innocent person on the planet. No matter what Paul Helmke or Josh Sugarmann might say.

*Unassembled. I have enough powder, primers, cases, and bullets to make them as needed.
