Because toy guns kill millions of toys every year
We have created a TOY GUN DROP BASKET and want kids to drop their toyguns in our basket. In exchange we will give them a FREE NON-VIOLENTTOY.
Whatever it is, I hope you give me two of them. If you truly want to see violence, put a single Barbie doll between my two girls.
We plan to travel to different events and create a mindset ofnon-violence by promoting this cause. It is our hope that parentseducate their children about the dangers of gun play and that guns areweapons of destruction.
Or, if you're a wheelchair bound invalid in a rough neighborhood, an elderly woman walking down the street, one man against many, or a woman of slight build, it's an equalizer to the thugs who wish you harm.
And heaven forbid you educate your children about guns. With no exposure and no education, they are more likely to handle a firearm and hurt themselves than rather know to leave it alone and go get an adult (who, if not properly trained could hurt themselves as well).
In addition, when you purchase any Nine-o-SixMultimedia product, a portion of those proceeds will be donated to anorganization supporting the efforts of non-violence.
I would assume Nine-O-Six considers themselves such an organization.

By turning in toys? Why not help by pressuring politicians to keep violent criminals locked up rather than blaming harmless toys? Kim's essay comes to mind here.
And I bet it would cause this group to lose sleep if they knew that I don't plan on buying my girls toy guns, but rather real ones so they learn proper use and safety.
